Oasis Packaging Industries (Pvt) Ltd continues to move forward in its mission to build a climate-resilient and responsible future for our business and the communities we serve. Over the years, we have worked extensively on our environmental accountability across Scope 1, Scope 2, and significant categories of Scope 3 emissions, aligning with the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol Corporate Standard and other relevant international climate goals.
In 2022 and 2023, we achieved carbon neutrality in accordance with PAS 2060. As the standard is being retired and replaced by a more rigorous global framework, we are proud to announce that Oasis Packaging Industries has now begun its transition to BS ISO 14068-1:2023 – Carbon Neutrality.
What This Means
Our carbon neutrality achievement is built on the globally endorsed hierarchy approach of Reduce – Remove – Offset, ensuring every tonne of emissions accounted is responsibly managed.
We have:
• Measured operational emissions under Scope 1 and Scope 2, with primary-data-based quantification
• Reported significant Scope 3 emissions, including employee commute and upstream leased assets
• Invested in verified renewable energy and carbon offset projects that are registered against the highest international standards, including the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) under the UNFCCC
In the latest reporting year, our total quantified carbon footprint stands at 1548.94 tCO₂e, which is fully compensated through 3570 carbon offsets and 230 verified carbon units retired to maintain neutrality.
Alongside offsetting, we are already implementing actionable carbon-reduction initiatives — including energy-efficient retrofits and transitioning towards green energy — to continuously lower our operational footprint.
Our progress in this journey would not be possible without your trust and partnership. Thank you for standing with us as we move forward, together.
